Scalable Display Technologies, a leader in auto-calibration for multi-projector displays and Advanced Rotor Technology, Inc, a leader in rotorcraft modeling, analysis and flight simulation tools, are pleased to announce their partnership on systems for the Military Flight Simulation market. Their recent delivery of a simulator to the Naval Air Warfare Center in Patuxent, MD, marks the third such integration of Scalable's EasyBlend auto-calibration software into ART's reconfigurable helicopter flight simulator, HeliFlight-R. Other deliveries include ones at Penn State University and the University of Liverpool in England.
HeliFlight-R, a turnkey, reconfigurable simulator for flight dynamics engineering and training, provides pilot-in-the-loop real time simulation within a 12 ft. Carbon Fiber dome. Scalable's EasyBlend™ software speeds and simplifies the calibration of the three HeliFlight-R LCOS projectors. The integration of HeliFlight-R and EasyBlend allows instructors and operators a seamless geometric alignment in their field of view, with High Definition video resolution. EasyBlend's use of digital camera feedback automates the process, reducing calibration time to minutes.
