Bridger Photonics, Inc. recently earned a $1.5M contract from the Department of Energy through the ARPA-e program to create an imaging gas sensor for detecting, quantifying, and mapping methane gas leaks. The sensor combines Bridger's expertise in 3D imaging to provide geo-referenced surface topography, gas sensing to provide precise methane gas concentration measurements, and algorithmic work to enable gas topology and localization. Cost-effective detection of methane gas will have economic, public health, and greenhouse gas mitigation benefits. Bridger's accomplishment was recognized by a personal call from Senator Jon Tester of Montana.
