Vista Engineering originated from the Environmental Engineering Program of Vista Research, Inc. located in Sunnyvale, California, for whom the firm currently develops and evaluates leak detection products.Vista Engineering addresses and demonstration of novel and innovative sensor measurement and detection systems (e.g., for corrosion monitoring and control in high-level waste tanks and for pressure monitoring in sealed spent fuel containers); Tank and piping integrity assessment and engineering services; Planning, conducting, and analyzing data from complex experiments at DOE and DOD sites; Safe, defensible interim storage of low- and/or high-level wastes over extended periods while awaiting retrieval and closure; Process engineering support to high-level waste vitrification; Technology evaluation; Operational readiness and design reviews; Design of HVAC systems for nuclear applications (e.g., code and standards expertise); Project management in accordance with DOE Order 430.1A Life Cycle Asset Management; Environmental compliance; Groundwater and vadose zone monitoring, characterization and remediation; Underground surveillance and mapping of buried objects, piping and conduit; Waste retrieval and monitoring systems; and Design, assembly and operation of full-scale technology demonstration and evaluation facilities for waste and hazardous substance tanks and piping.
