Trident Research is a systems engineering company specializing in the design, development, fielding, and sustainment of specialized military test instrumentation. Trident's leading products provide realtime 2D and 3D geodetic scoring of live fire weapon testing over land and in broad ocean areas. The firm specializes in the design, development and fielding âone of a kindâ DOD instrumentation systems. Trident provides Systems engineering, military instrumentation and scientific R&D services in GPS, communications, navigation, remote sensing, autonomous vehicles, realtime systems and unattended sensors. The firm has developed the Terrestrial Realtime Acoustic Classification and Scoring (TRACS) system, that can be used to detect, locate, count, and classify both single and multiple simultaneous ordnance detonations in absolute WGS84 coordinates. Deployable and operable by a single person, TRACS has the ability to ingest natural occurring data emitted by impact or detonation events, even complicated scoring scenarios, then localizing each discrete event in real time. This allows for tactical ordnance and weapon types to be scored without the need to modify the weapon system or the ordnance. Meter-level accurate results are displayed in seconds, and sub-meter accurate results in minutes. Trident also created the Tactical Acoustic Realtime Geolocation and Training (TARGT) system for ocean based testing and training. Like the TRACS, it is used to detect, locate, count, and classify single and multiple simultaneous ordnance detonations in absolute WGS84 coordinates. The acoustic-based architecture of TARGT is omni-directional and will always produce a score because the data can be audibly/visually reviewed and processed in almost any weather condition, regardless of sea state, day or night meaning if a weapon strikes the scoring zone, TARGT will always register a scor
