Company Profile

Silicon Photonics Group specializes on growth of materials and devices based on group IV elements, including heterostructures and nanostructures of semiconductors fully integrated with Si. The company is a spin-off from Arizona State University that takes advantage of state of the art materials science resources (including world class high resolution microscopy, high resolution x-ray diffraction and ion beam scattering laboratories) and device fabrication infrastructure at the university to conduct practical research and development in the area of semiconductors photonics. A major component of our recent focus is to develop specialized materials grown on Si substrates. We are currently exploring methodologies to integrate Group IV, III-V, and II-VI alloys with Si technologies using newly developed template architectures fully compatible with Si substrates
