Fairly active in the SBIR program over many years, with facilities in Fairfax VA (DZYNE Analytic Systems), in Irvine CA (Vehicle DZYNE) Studio and in Foothill Ranch, Irvine CA (DZYNE Long Endurance Aircraft) CA - DZYNE Technologies - an employee-owned corporation - is usefully understood as structured around development of smart systems, including manned and unmanned vehicles and analytic systems. A primary focus is innovative autonomous aircraft. Starting from concept creation and rapid prototype development and carried it all the way through to the delivery of operational systems, the firm's inhouse experts in many fields including aerodynamics, structural design, systems engineering, and flight test, as well as artificial intelligence, image understanding, and autonomy software - employing state-of-the-art design methodologies and production processes that result in highly efficient systems developed on very compressed timelines. In early January 2023 it was announced that Highlander Partners, L.P. - a leading private investment firm - had acquired DZYNE Technologies ("DZYNE").
