Public Profile

In May 2008, CSA Engineering Inc was acquired by Moog. CSA Engineering Inc provides innovative solutions in structural dynamics and vibrations and related areas through high-quality engineering services and specialized products. The firm's most recent development has been the SoftRide whole-spacecraft vibration isolation systems - a project which as successfully transitioned to a $15 Million Phase III contract. The systems protect spacecraft from the harsh environment of the launch process. To date (Oct 2002) 7 satellites have used the system with indications of a 75% reduction in the extent of damaging vibrations. Also developed has been a laser isolation/suspension system for the Airborne Laser (ABL) program. The project has transitioned from SBIR to a $5M+ award to build a ground demonstrator and Flight Optical Bench isolation system
