Three trailing wire antenna concepts will be evaluated to find the design which best meets the requirements of the solicitation. Operational and design experience with the widely-used dual trailing wire antenna will represent the starting point for this analysis. Concepts for a single trailing wire, which will have wider applicability will also be studied. A third concept, using a more unique trailing wire configuration may prove to be better suited for deployment in a small interchangeable pod that has to operate under a variety of aerodynamic conditions.
