Aerius, together with our team partners, proposes to develop a Flash Imaging Laser Vibrometer optimized for SBIED detection applications. The proposed vibrometer will operate at a standoff distance of more than 125 meters and have an adjustable Field of View (FOV) so that the attention can readily focus to a subsection of the full Focal Plane Array (FPA) with automatic identification of critical body target areas. The vibrometer will take advantage of its flash imaging capability to provide sub-second response so that it can image personnel while they are on the move. The units will be portable with reduced size, weight and power as well as cost compatible with having multiple sensor systems at a location, operating at different vantage points for full coverage. The proposed solution uses large and rugged Aerius proprietary InGaAs-based Focal Plane Arrays (FPAs). These arrays offer superior noise and sensitivity performance and they are sensitive in the wavelength range from 0.9 µm to 1.7 µm. This SBIED detection solution is scalable, larger FPAs can be introduced when needed providing future-proofing protection.
