Nichols Research Corporation was acquired by IT giant Computer Sciences Corporation. The firm concentrates on four markets -- defense and intelligence, government, commercial, and health care offering systems and services such as missile design, training simulators, consultation, network management, engineering, and systems integration. Nichols Research continues to broaden its support outside the defense realm through acquisitions. The company is spinning off its health care unit, called Nichols TXEN, which provides IT services to the health care and insurance industries.
