Formerly known as Alphatech, a 1979 spin-off from MIT, the firm was acquired by BAE Systems in 2004. Now doing busness as Advanced Information Technologies (AIT), the firm develops advanced technologies and software solutions that bridge the gap between fundamental research and its operational deployment.
