Addressing projects intha areasof MWIR / LWIR optics and photonics, Polymer optical interconnects, Ultra-high-speed optical modulators, Nano-photonic circuits, Microwave photonics and Engineered dielectric materials, Norcon Technologies is organized around technologies in infrared (IR) polymer optics and photonics. The effort is to engage these innovations such as to increase functionality and improve performance in fields such as imaging, sensing, spectroscopy, night vision, renewable energy, and high-speed communications. Breakthroughs in high index polymers, which target applications from 0.7 µm to 12 µm, dramatically reduce size, weight, and cost, while enabling shapes previously available only at shorter wavelengths. Additional technologies include nano-photonic circuits, microwave photonics, and engineered dielectric materials. In addition to owning its own intellectual property, Norcon has also exclusively licensed intellectual property from the University of Arizona.
