A Raytheon subsidiary has launched a cross-domain printer product intended to help organizations consolidate printing into a single network.
Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions built Trusted Print Delivery to use commercial technology and incorporate Raytheon's Trusted Gateway System to help customers mitigate security vulnerabilities, the company said Monday.
Ed Hammersla, RTCS chief operating officer, said the subsidiary developed the product with the goal of requiring less hardware, space, power, support and supplies than that required in environments that use separate printer for every sensitivity level.
TGS is a Protection Level 4 cross-domain guard component intended to check and verify the data that passes between networks with different security clearances.
According to the company, TGS is designed to stop malicious data from transferring between a low side and high side network and prevent sensitive data from inadvertently or intentionally moving from a high side network to a lower level network.
