The Outdoor Research Generation II Modular Glove System consists of five types of compatible handwear: a contact glove, a flame resistant combat glove, an intermediate waterproof glove, an extreme cold weather waterproof glove, and extreme cold weather waterproof mitt. The complete set of gloves consists of (1) two pairs of Hurricane gloves that won't melt or drip when exposed to flame like liners made of polyster, (2) two pairs of Overlord Shorty gloves which protect against both fire hazards and abrasions (3) one pair of Firebrand gloves to be used in extreme cold weather, (4) a pair of Poseidon gloves that are waterproof and breathable; and (5) a pair of Firebrand Mitts designed for intense cold found in alpine conditions. The system provides comfort to the wearer and sufficient dexterity to perform mission essential tasks such as rappelling, fast-roping, and operating a weapon. This glove system is compliant with the Berry Amendment and is made entirely of fabrics made in the USA.
