Truestone Wins $32.9m Task Order to Support Dod's Joint -Ied Defeat Organization

Herndon, VA, May 1, 2012 — Truestone, LLC has won the first task order issued under the JIEDDO-COIC SETA contract recently awarded by the GSA Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM). Competitively bid, the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) Counter-IED Operations Intelligence Integration Center (COIC) task order is a $32.9M, five year contract.

Under this task order, Truestone will provide systems engineering and technical assistance services to support the leadership and its management of the JIEDDO-COIC Net-Centric Innovation Division (NID) in the U.S. and overseas. The NID is the IT engineering organization of the JIEDDO-COIC. The project will also include the oversight of acquisition programs. Specifically, services will include:

Engineering Analysis and Applied Technology
Enterprise and Strategic Engineering and Technical Analysis
Program Support
Technical Point of Contract and Contracting Offer's Representative Technical Support
Technical and Analytical Support Services

Formally established by DoD Directive in 2006, JIEDDO is the lead organization in countering improvised explosive devices (IED) for the Department of Defense. Working with joint military forces, government, academia, industry, and international partners, JIEDDO is finding, developing, and delivering emerging capabilities to counter the IED as a weapon of strategic influence.
