StartUpHire.com now features job openings at Startup America-backed businesses
Vienna, Va. -- Sept. 12, 2011 - StartUpHire, the largest online database of jobs at startup companies, and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) have announced their collaboration with the Startup America Partnership to support job opportunities at startup companies. Startup America Partnership, an independent private-sector ally with the White House's Startup America initiative, will promote StartUpHire as a resource to job seekers while using StartUpHire.com to publicize openings at Startup America firms. President Obama implemented the Startup America initiative to advocate for entrepreneurship and to emphasize the role of startups as fuel for America's economy.
"StartUpHire strongly supports the Startup America vision, and we are excited to come together to drive additional attention to this important business community," said Steve Fredrick, a founder of StartUpHire and General Partner with Grotech Ventures. "Startups play a pivotal role in our economic engine and are the key for creating jobs. It is critical that these young companies receive the support they need to grow and become sizeable employers for Americans."
"The coming together of the Startup America Partnership and StartUpHire.com is a tremendous opportunity not only to send the message that our country's startups are hiring but also to efficiently fill thousands of open positions with qualified candidates," said Mark Heesen, president of NVCA. "Nothing is more important to our economy than job creation and the NVCA is thrilled to connect these two organizations which are committed to that mission. We look forward to watching the synergies unfold and our country benefit."
StartUpHire.com, which currently lists over 14,000 startup jobs, will highlight Startup America firms throughout the site. Additionally, StartUpHire will waive the fee required to post jobs on the site for companies sponsored by Startup America.
StartUpHire and the NVCA work closely to promote jobs at venture-backed companies.
