Q-Track Corporation will debut the smallest ever NFER® Tag Transmitter tonight at RFID Journal-LIVE in Orlando, Florida. At only 50g and only 33cc volume, the QT-701 NFER® Tag offers a compact and light-weight location solution that delivers the same 40cm rms accurate indoor location of Q-Track's larger NFER® Tag Transmitters. Q-Track will highlight the performance of this small personal tracking tag in demonstrations around Booth 351A on the RFID-Journal Live exhibit floor. Q-Track personnel will be available to discuss how NFER® Real-Time Location Systems can solve many of the most difficult indoor location problems.
In addition, Q-Track CTO Dr. Hans Schantz will present a tutorial at 1pm Tuesday, April 8 on "Near-Field Wireless Technology" at the co-located 2014 IEEE International Conference on Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) (2014.ieee-rfid.org). This technical conference, sponsored by IEEE - the world's largest professional association for the advancement of technology - highlights leading-edge advances in RFID technology. Dr. Schantz will discuss the origins of near-field wireless, survey applications, present near-field links laws, and discuss the properties and performance of electrically-small antennas. Near-field wireless technology is an emerging area of great importance in RFID. Specific applications including low frequency (LF) and high frequency (HF) RFID, Near-Field Communications (NFC), RuBee (IEEE 1902.1), wireless power transfer, and Near-Field Electromagnetic Ranging (NFER). Dr. Schantz's tutorial will earn attendees 3 IEEE Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided.

About Q-Track:
Q-Track Corporation (www.Q-Track.com) offers solutions that provide "Knowing Where, Anywhere" for a growing ranging of industrial real-time location applications. The company's patented Near-Field Electromagnetic Ranging (NFER®) systems employ a unique low-frequency, long-wavelength radio signal to achieve highly accurate (40 cm rms) indoor location results even in complicated non-line-of-sight environments. NFER® Real Time Location Systems enable "Dosimulation™," a radiation worker training system deployed in a quarter of U.S. nuclear plants. Q-Track also offers a proximity detection and collision avoidance system that protects people from cranes and robotic material handling equipment at a variety of manufacturing plants nationwide, as well as location systems that enhance military training by precisely locating soldiers in training ranges extending through multiple buildings and across tens of thousands of square meters (hundreds of thousands of square feet).
Q-Track is a privately-held company located in Huntsville, AL. The company's research and development was supported by private investors, and contracts and grants from Homeland Security, The U.S. Army, The U.S. Air Force, National Science Foundation, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the National Institutes for Health.
