Today, Native Seedsters, Inc. introduces three new low-maintenance robust tractor-mounted seed harvesters: NS-Series Models SP 60, NS 2-40 and NS 2-60. Native Seedsters, Inc. has breakthrough patented plucking technology at the forefront of design, to replace conventional combine or stripper methods of seed harvest on many species.
The Native Seedster models feature innovative design to recover a high percentage of the seed of many difficult-to-harvest native grasses and improve seed retrieval from wildflowers and forbs. These species are used for bio-energy; for reclamation of land damaged by mining, highway construction, or fire; or for land restoration to provide forage, wildlife cover, and soil conservation.
"Our new models improve seed harvesting profitability through maneuverability, low operating costs, faster ground speed (up to 5 mph), quick unloading by a bottom drop door and a swift ten minute clean-out," stated Native Seedsters founder Lee Arbuckle.
"We have improved harvestability of higher-value species with superior seed capture and made recalibration for differing species easier. You can order any of these models immediately," Arbuckle continued.
The Seedsters plucks seed from the seed head, leaving the rest of the plant intact. This "Seedster advantage" eliminates most of the task of separating seed from chaff that takes time for combine harvesters. Some species can not be harvested at all with traditional combines.
After extensive testing to optimize each of the Seedster components, the new NS-Series models were redesigned to be both lighter and stronger. Each features a streamlined and strengthened bottom drop door for even faster unloading; a high-quality, high-performance metal core brush; a simpler, lighter and more durable combing drum; and improved seed plucking and capture from repositioned brush and comb shafts.
Along with the new models, the company also launched a redesigned website to ease in-depth exploration of the advantages of their patented technology for individual species of grasses and wildflower seed.
