Seacoast Science, Inc. (Carlsbad, CA), continues to enhance its innovative chemical-monitoring hardware to help users monitor the emission of volatile substances, including gases and aerosols.
The company was funded in part by an MDA 2005 SBIR Phase I award to develop a system for detecting chemicals in missile defense scenarios.
To analyze chemicals, Seacoast's products rely on sensors built with microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. Due to the small size and light weight of the sensors, Seacoast has been able to package its technology easily into machinery in the heavy-industrial sector, in environmental cleanup services, and in the aerospace and pharmaceutical industries.
The company also has started work on a project that will see its sensing technology used to monitor the gas-conversion process of biological material (gasification of biomass).
Seacoast Science specializes in developing chemical-detection systems and supporting technologies for use in a range of industries and applications, including industrial and aerospace applications.
