GENOSPACE NAMED BEST OF SHOW WINNER AT BIO-IT WORLD 2014
Panel of expert judges recognizes GenoSpace for Clinical™ as a leader in the field of web-based offerings for genomic medicine
CAMBRIDGE, MA, May 8, 2014 — GenoSpace (www.GenoSpace.com) today announced that the company was named a Best of Show grand prize winner at the 2014 Bio-IT World Conference and Expo. GenoSpace for Clinical™ was recognized in the Web-Based Services and Software category for its comprehensive suite of offerings supporting genomic medicine.

The initial launch of GenoSpace for Clinical was through a collaboration with PathGroup and the IP & Science business of Thomson Reuters. PathGroup, one of the largest private providers of pathology services in the United States, required a solution to integrate its industry-leading anatomic, clinical and molecular pathology services with information on drugs, genetic variants, clinical trials and therapeutic implications. Thomson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, provided its hand curated content through its open architecture Cortellis platform, as the cornerstone for reference data to support interpretation of patient information. GenoSpace for Clinical provided a powerful, flexible platform that allowed PathGroup to use data from their clinical and molecular assays together with information from Thomson Reuters and other sources to produce clear, concise reports that assist physicians in making better informed treatment decisions for their patients.
