CAMBRIDGE, MA, USA, and VALENCIA, SPAIN--(Marketwire -- Oct 2, 2012) -- Today, Barrett adds Robotnik’s mobile platforms to its product lineup in North America, enabling integrated mobile manipulation for its customers. Robotnik and Barrett have collaborated closely for many years, with Robotnik supporting Barrett’s products throughout Europe. Most recently the two companies completed the GWAM™product -- tight (mechanical, electrical, software) integration of a standard WAM™arm and hand with Robotnik’s Guardian mobile platform, running as one system under ROS. Robotnik CEO Roberto Guzmán states: “We want to extend the reach of our mobile platforms into North America with solid support for our customers.” Barrett CEO Bill Townsend adds: “Working with Robotnik, through Skype conference calls between our engineering teams, has been seamless.
