BAE Systems Completes Acquisition of OASYS Technology
BAE Systems has completed its acquisition of OASYS Technology, LLC, a privately owned company. The proposed acquisition was announced on September 7.
OASYS Technology employs approximately 65 people at its 40,000 square foot design and manufacturing facility in Manchester, New Hampshire, where it will continue to operate as part of the BAE Systems Electronic Solutions sector headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire.
"OASYS Technology offers specialized capabilities that will enhance our ability to serve our customers and provide war fighters with greater capability to execute their missions safely," said Tom Arseneault, president of BAE Systems operations at Nashua. "This acquisition strengthens our ability to compete in the night vision sector and provide a broader range of low size/weight/power/cost (SWaP-C) soldier borne imaging systems."
The acquired business brings further expertise in the design and manufacture of electro-optical systems and subassemblies for aerospace, defense, industrial and commercial markets, which will complement BAE Systems' existing electro-optical capabilities, technologies and product offerings.
The acquisition is consistent with BAE Systems' strategy to address anticipated growth in the military electronics market and to provide new and enhanced solutions for our customers.
