San Francisco, Calif., -- Nov 15, 2013, Aechelon Technology, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded multiple undisclosed contracts for the purchase of five Aechelon Nexus™ Unified Storage Systems (USS) to be used as a part of multiple data centers for undisclosed US Navy and US Army Special Operations programs.
The Aechelon Nexus™ Unified Storage System (USS) enables access to very large databases for hundreds of streams from large multichannel, Multi-spectral Training and Mission Image Generators (IGs) and Radar Simulation subsystems, to page database streams in real time, independently of each other, from the same file system. Additionally, the USS includes support for Aechelon Nexus™ Data Packs, designed to transfer very large format database updates.
Aechelon Technology currently supplies all multi-channel pC-NOVA™ Image Generators for dozens of Operational Flight Trainers (OFT), multi-sensor Weapons Tactics Trainers (WTT), multi-sensor Part Task Trainers (PTT), and provides global multi-spectral OTW/EO/IR/Radar and tactical environment databases, 3D moving models, and a variety of airfields for the training and mission devices on a variety of platforms.
