ZwiCoat Material Innovations (ZCMI) specializes in developing advanced surface coatings for medical devices. The firm's primary innovation is a patented, ultra-low fouling zwitterionic (ZIP) coating technology that enhances the biocompatibility and functionality of medical implants. This technology is pivotal in addressing major issues such as fibrosis and infection rates commonly associated with implantable biomaterials. ZCMI has successfully demonstrated proof-of-principle for our ZIP coating on PDMS-based CI electrode arrays.
