It has been well konown for some time that climate-friendly agricultural practices have the potential on a gigaton/year scale to remove atmospheric CO2. Effectively, as more carbon is stored in soils, soil health is improved and becomes a positive factor in climate change. It is also well understood that significant measurement challenges have been a factor in helding soil carbon efforts back. By reducing significantly the cost of soil carbon measurement, Yard Stick is addressing the achievment dramatically to expand the opportunities for evidence-based regenerative practices simultaneously ito mprove ecosystem health, increase farmer income, and combat climate change.
