The firm utilizes a class of materials known as ionic liquids, which are specifically designed for each application, keeping in mind health and environmental safety and importantly, performance. Its partnership brings combined expertise in many fields and industries, including: ionic liquids, biochemistry, electrochemistry, nanomaterials, organic synthesis, inorganic/analytical chemistry, biopolymers, toxicology, pharmacology, rare earth elements, instrumentation, and more. Wyonics is a member of the Critical Materials Institute, Consortium for Green Manufacturing, and Laramie Chamber Business Alliance. The firm is incubated at the University of Wyoming and often work closely with UW. .
