Public Profile
Formerly dba as Fast Imaging Company LLC, Weinberg Medical Physics is a medical device incubator developing novel medical devices, interventional technologies and therapies that are intended to mature into self-sustaining companies. Graduates from that process have so far included: Promaxo, Radialis, Brain BioSciences and Longmile Veterinary Imaging. Weinberg Medical Physics, LLC develops medical devices for various clinical indications. The firm is engaged in nanotechnology (colored particles in image), ultrafast MRI and magnetic particle drivers, and additive manufacturing of electrical coils businesses. The team has invented the application of dedicated devices for molecular breast imaging. Two companies have been founded that successfully introduced positron emission mammography and dedicated scintimammography devices. Principals have also applied novel pulsed power and additive manufacturing techniques to MRI. Clinical trials have demonstrated the ability to generate MRI gradients hundreds of times higher than conventional MRI without causing discomfort. These ultra-fast MRI systems can provide rapid high-resolution images, which will be useful in dentistry and oncology. The high magnetic gradients can also be used to propel nanoparticles to various parts of the body. These nanoparticles could be used to deliver drugs that can treat diseases.
