VisiTrend develops interactive, visual analytics that uniquely combine visualization with analysis algorithms enabling users to understand their networks and proactively respond to threats and performance issues. NDVis web application is a visual analytics tool for cyber security launched in 2014-15 from a product developed for the US Air Force. AF had selected VisiTrend to research, design, and develop a Visualization tool for Integrated Cyber Command and Control (VIC3). VIC3 is the basis for the firm's commercial product NDVis. The system employs unique visualization methods and interaction techniques to visually fuse these large and complex data sets and support cyber C2. This allows user to identify, tag, and track information dependencies and critical data flows, correlate cyber events, project potential effects, evaluate alternative cyber COAs, and view the relationships between cyber and kinetic operations. Principal innovations include abstract information layers and coordinated views that employ unique interaction techniques. Coordinated views provide multiple perspectives and fuse different data sets that require different visualization methods. User selections in one view can affect layout and other visual attributes in another. This enables users to see the relationships between data in different views and supports interactive analysis.
