In 2005, VioSense Corporation was acquired by Measurement Science Enterprise, Inc.. VioSense develops and markets commercially viable sensor technologies for applications ranging from basic research to complex industrial use. Products include miniature laser sensors using optical MEMS and micro-fabrication technologies, and an imaging system for dynamic three-dimensional mapping of objects and flows. These instruments are used for dynamic 3-D profilometry and as flow-mapping instruments for 2-D and 3-D flows. These new technologies, originally developed at Caltech, and JPL and licensed to VioSense, are covered with several patents and provisional patents.
