Varda Space Industries was founded with the declared objective being manufacture of products in space to benefit life on Earth. Co-founders of the firm imagined a situation is which space could be leveraged for its economic benefits. To that end, Varda Space Industries was formed around building a platform for in-space manufacturing, with a range of real-life, on-Earth use cases. To that end, with substantial VC investment, principals of the firm are accelerating innovation in space through use of their microgravity manufacturing platform. Applications to date jave included pharmaceuticals, hypersonic testing, and fiber optics.
