Specializing in manufacturing vapor cells - an atomic device to improve laser performance and turn it into international standards - the objective of the firm's effort (Vapor Cell Technologies LLC) is to design & develop a user-friendly website that can attract laser manufacturing businesses and investors in the laser industry. Focus is on perfecting the missing link for atomic technologies: microfabricated vapor cells. Thought leadership at the National Institute of Standards and Technology has long proven the utility of microfabricated vapor cells for advanced sensing and stable standards. Previously working at NIST, the firm's founder focused on integrating photonic circuitry with atomic vapor cells to build new classes of portable, low-power atomic optical standards and sensors which benefit from mass manufacturable microfabrication techniques. He dseccribes these building blocks as a major thrust of the NIST on a Chip (NoaC) drive to deliver intrinsically accurate and precise devices to the world. Further interests explored included building a âtoolboxâ of microfabricated structures for vapor cells with enhanced functionality, limits of spectroscopic resolution in micro spectroscopic systems, and novel frequency modulation schemes to overcome systematic limits in FM spectrosco
