In collaboration with industry and university partners, Vanilla Aircraft, LLC are organzied around aerospace design, fabrication and testing. Capabilities include: * Computational Fluid Dynamics * Structural Analysis * Mechanical Detail Design * Modeling and Simulation, including HILsim * Systems and propulsion testing* CNC and composites manufacturing. Experience includes leading design, integration and test of several successful prototype air vehicles, Vanilla Aircraft has the expertise needed to avoid the pitfalls of end-to-end aircraft development with a major focus to unmanned aircraft. Recent projects: Designed from the ground up around an efficient, proven diesel engine and optimized aerostructure, the performance of the VA001 allows long-term continuous coverage of an area of interest with a system of two vehicles. In April 2016, VA001 aircraft N240HR completed a successful and uneventful 25-hour flight, landing with several days of additional fuel still onboard. The flight, conducted in the National Airspace under New Mexico State University's FAA Certificate of Authorization, was the aircraft's first overnight flight, marking a major milestone on the path to proving out the system's full takeoff weight and endurance capabilities. The flight was conducted as part of a DARPA-sponsored effort through NAVAIR
