Userspace focuses on innovation in the life sciences, especially biomarkers and early disease detection. BioInstrument Manager, a "smart" router platform, allows customers to network enable disparate islands of instruments and information throughout a company anytime, anywhere. This universal device language translator and remote controller allows information to flow faster and cheaper and enables company-wide collaboration. Value-added consulting services enhance BioInstrument Manager to meet a customer's specific needs. Userspace has formed a collaborative alliance with The Institute for Systems Biology, a systems biology research organization in the Seattle Metropolitan Area. Userspace also hosts the Web site for the Northwest Chapter of the Lab Robotics Interest Group.
