In response to the shift to more persons wishing to remain at home as they age and/or are injured and/or require assistance, the incidence of caregivers being themselves injured as they work inte hiom eenvironment. Anchored in decades of relevant experience, Unique Mobility Devices LLC (UMD) is addressing development devices that will facilitate the safe handling and transferring of people. This involves (1) devices that will utilize the best "Zero-Lifting" practices to reduce injuries to caregivers. (2) Devices that will enable people to function more independently and longer in the home and (3) Devices that will protect patients in hospitals and institutions from injuries such as post surgically.
