Ultralife Batteries develops, manufactures and markets primary lithium batteries for use in a wide array of applications and has developed and is in the process of commercializing rechargeable polymer batteries. Through proprietary technologies the firm can offer batteries that are ultra-thin, lightweight and generally achieve longer operating time than many competing batteries. To date, the Company has focused on manufacturing a family of lithium primary batteries for consumer, industrial, and military applications. The Company is currently focusing on the commercialization of its advanced rechargeable batteries, which are based on its proprietary polymer technology and are integrated into consumer electronic applications such as portable computers and cellular telephones.
