Treatment Innovations LLC provides Seeking Safety, an evidence-based, present-focused counseling model for trauma / posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse. The method is meant to address trauma and addiction without requiring clients to delve into the trauma narrative at the foundation of the issue. The Seeking Safety model, which is outlined in a book, was developed developed by Lisa M. Najavits, a professor at Boston University School of Medicine who has also worked at Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital.
