Developing what are described as a new class of affordable, energy-efficient,environmentally friendly cooling systems, Transaera is structured around reducing climate and grid infrastructure impact. Principals of the firm have developed a hybrid cooling solution designed to operate a high-efficiency room air-conditioner in parallel with a moisture storage battery (MSB) to provide cooling and dehumidification - yet using dramatically less energy than current typical room air conditioners. With this focus on development of energy-efficient, environmentally friendly. cooling systems, principals of the firm aim to transform the economics of indoor farming with a new class of energy-efficient systems that optimize air temperature, humidity, flow and CO2. The systems will harvest moisture from ambient air and convert it to water using a world-record water absorbing material discovered at MIT.
