Grounded in work on catalysis technology licensed from University of Alabama, ThruPore Technologies is organized around development of heterogeneous catalysts for chemical research and chemical manufacturing having substantial selectivity improvements while also improving thermal stability: highly porous carbon support structures for industrial catalysts. With facitiies in AL and in DE, ThruPore's capacities now include precise control of the pore size of support structures - yielding 75% more surface area. - also with control of the placement of the metal catalyst within the support structure. Product imporvements include eliminating entire process steps to dramatic yield improvements to enabling a much safer end product.
