Thinking Systems is a privately held corporation specializing in development of software supporting the Aerospace industry. Originally a small consulting practice building custom software supporting commercial wireless telephony and aerospace ventures founded by a principal having a PhD computational astrophysics. Working in the aerospace industry, the emphasis was on applying that expertise to problems of orbit and attitude dynamics, formation flying, Earth orbiting and deep space mission planning, and solar activity forecasting. Output has included manuals and extensions for commercial and government sponsored flight dynamics software, teaching courses on these software products and working on defense related products, and telecommunications systems. The firm has teamed with NASA Goddard SpaceFlight Center (GSFC) to build the General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT)
