Texas Research International is the parent company of two independent subsidiaries: Texas Research Institute Austin, Inc. and TRI /Environmental Inc. These subsidiaries share projects of mutual interest, personnel, resources as well as operating and management systems. Pre-dating operations over a decade before SBIR was initiated - but among the handful of those very early awardees -Texas Research International, Inc. is a multidisciplinary corporate facility providing research and development, evaluation, and testing services to scientific and industrial communities within both the government and private sectors. Texas Research Institute Austin, Inc. conducts materials research and development projects. TRI/Austin has been developing fleet and field-proven products and technologies for the US DoD and the commercial sector for what is now decades. Including its subsidiaries, Texas Research International's technology profile includes a variety of coatings, including camouflage coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, sealants, adhesives, and resins. The company also offers high density thermoplastics under its Ecomass division. This technology has applications in balancing, weighting, radiation shielding, vibration damping, and frangible projectiles. Lastly, TRI-Austin offers NDIToolbox, which provides signal processing for nondestructive inspection data.
