Initially offering products under the name Invent-abling, in late 2015, the firm changed its name to Teknikio. The firm is organzied around inspiring children of all ages to create with technology, Teknikio currently ofers 5 different make-it-yourself project kits and 12 electronic parts. By design, the firm's electronics are easy to attach to everyday materials such as paper, fabric, and cardboard, allowing the user to reimagine their world with just a few basic tools. Remaking and recycling is a key part of the firm's design process. Each kit is offered as an ingredient pack for the User's personal toolbox, allowing experimentation with new ideas and the opportunity to use electronics - effectively combining engineering with craft and design. We feel that knowledge of basic crafts is a life skill; future generations should have the basic know-how of how to sew a button back on a jacket, or how to turn recycled cardboard into the coolest new toy robot.
