In April 2008, Technologies & Devices International was acquired by UK based Oxford Instruments. Technologies and Devices International, Inc. (TDI) is focused to commercializing basic research and development in crystal growth and device fabrication of wide band-gap semiconductors. TDI is developing bulk crystals, epitaxial structures and devices over a range of materials with applications in short wavelength optoelectronics and high power semiconductor electronics. TDI develops, manufactures and markets electronic components using silicon carbide and III-V nitride semiconductor materials. TDI has started the commercialization of SiC epitaxial wafers, GaN/Sapphire and GaN/SiC epitaxial wafers
