Launched in 2002/3 and SBIR involved soon after,TeachTown, Inc. was focused around providing software and solutions for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and Developmental Disabilities. Involving a sophistiacted and effective blend of adaptive computer-delivered and teacher-led ABA instruction, TeachTownâs research-based and scientifically proven solutions wasstuctured around both engaging and motivating the students while - sritically - building the independence of each student. Employing a robust automatic assessment and data system designed to capture student data while carefully measuring progress of the individual. These data were incorporated in reports and graphs that every day, every week and every month were employed to create, disseminate and inform customized instruction. In an unusual decision, Bain Capital became heavily involved in Teach Town with the system reported as in over 1,000 school districts and serving more than 50,000 students - greatly broaden the capacity and aability for thos einvolved to help those with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities .
