Tactile Analogics has developed wixel technology, which is a new kind of tactile device that aids visually impaired people in understanding information such as maps, shapes, graphs and potentially any digital and analogical data that can be displayed/sensed. Employed initially for use by the blind, the firm offers an innovative way to communicate any displayable information by using tactile, but potentially for other industries.
