Synthetic Environments, Inc. (SEI), provides contract research and development and consulting services for Government and industry customers requiring advanced computing solutions for their information management problems. SEI is involved in all phases of system and software development, from concept definition and requirements analysis to design, implementation and testing of software systems. SEI is engaged primarily in the development and application of the following computing technology areas: Human-computer interaction and multi-modal interfaces Virtual reality and data visualization Artificial intelligence Software engineering and system integration. We conduct basic and applied research, technology evaluation, and software systems development in these areas. Recently, SEI has been developing a technology called EyeTalk(TM), which integrates voice recognition and eye-tracking technology to control a user interface. With EyeTalk(TM), a user will be able to operate a computer interface without use of hands. SEI is applying this technology to military crewstations and in assistive devices for persons with disabilities.
