Public Profile

Spectros Corporation is developing an advanced imaging system to locate trace amounts of cancer in the body in real-time with the use of fluorescent optical imaging. The Spectros technology can be used to enhance the effectiveness of existing medical equipment by being added to cameras, being deployed in needles and/or used as probes to monitor oxygen sufficiency in tissues. Use of tissue oximeters in critical care has been shown to lower the risk and incidence of multi-organ failure and death due from low or impaired delivery of oxygen to tissues and organs
