SpectralSight is commercializing hyperspectral imaging technology based on proprietary microelectromechanical (MEMS) concepts developed at the Infotonics Technology Center into a miniaturized module that can be easily integrated into portable and flexible system solutions Hyperspectral imaging measures reflected visible and infrared sunlight from the earth's surface over a spectral range seven times broader than the human eye can see. Current space-, air-, and compact solutions demonstrate its value as a visualization and analysis tool. Field use today remains constrained by cost, size, and weight. High intensity, time-critical situations demand truly miniaturized solutions, ones that can be used easily, quickly understood, and hands-free. With its patented inventions, SpectralSight is developing an innovative hyperspectral imaging module at substantially reduced cost and weight that enables new solutions previously unimagined and help further develop the next generation applications in existing markets.
