In April 2003, Solipsys was acquired by Raytheon. The firm continues to function relatively independently as Rayteheon Solipsys. Raytheon Solipsys is a solutions-based, high-tech software and engineering firm high- technology business specializing in products for defense application. Solipsys has created products designed to address the multi-faceted problem of Joint and Coalition Forces information networking -- addressing diverse areas including sensor automation, information synthesis, networking and communications and visualization. In use by all four U.S. services and many of the biggest names in the ndustry, the firm's Tactical Display Framework (TDF) Java certified visualization tool and Multi Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT) software applications have raised the bar of performance for information synthesis and display. Solipsys has also introduced a suite of software applications that solve the vexing problem of creating an extensible network solution for sharing sensor information among Joint and Coalition forces. An outgrowth of years of experience in the sensor networking field, the Tactical Component Network (TCN®) software product suite is poised to revolutionize the manner in which battle force participants coordinate their actions. Many of the firm's information synthesis and visualization products are being used to meet the demands of test range operations. Supported by corporate offices in Waimea, Hawaii, the Pacific Missile Range Facility is employing Solipsys products to automate the daunting process of planning and executing complex, many-player range test events. Other operational uses for Solipsys' products include situation awareness, surveillance, air traffic control, air defense, disaster management, and command and control.
