Public Profile

Software & Engineering Associates Inc (SEA) specializes in the development of design and analysis software for chemical propulsion devices. The company also contracts to perform engineering analyses for the US defense and space agencies, and for many leading companies in the aerospace/defense industry. SEA’s suite of products is ready-to-install and incorporates a rigorous approach to modeling the phenomena of importance in real propulsion systems. These products have become a cornerstone to the development of new rocket designs and are used daily for critical missions by NASA, the US Armed Forces and industry stalwarts such as ATK, Aerojet and Boeing. Recent products developed by SEA include: The Two Dimensional Kinetics solver application (TDK 12), a JANNAF standard code for accurate nozzle performance and flow field predictions in liquid rocket engines (LREs). TDK is able to analyze and summarize LRE performance loss mechanisms in order to treat attached and induced discrete shocks & provide engine performance predictions; and the Solid Performance Program (SPP 12), which has served as the standard JANNAF method for performance predictions of solid propellant rocket engines. The SPP software is able to provide performance predictions for extensive studies and accurate flow field as well as performance solutions for detailed solid rocket motor (SRM) studies.
