Under development and lab tested over several years by the University of Virginias School of Engineering and Applied Science and the School of Medicine variously funded by NSF, NIH, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation along with University of Venda in South Africa, the firm's product - MadiDrop+ - is now continuing development by Silvivhere Technologies as an SBIR project, Made entirely of all-natural materials (clay and silver).the MadiDrop+ provides effective (long-duration) disinfection of waterborne pathogens in household water storage containers. It is suggested that One MadiDrop+ can treat up to 20 liters of water per day for 12 months (or a total of more than 7000 liters). The MadiDrop+ is a micro porous, water permeable ceramic tablet infused with microscopic silver clusters.
